Agree the details before your trip

- The hotel, room type, number of guests and exact dates.
- What “three days” covers, including the agreed arrival and departure arrangements.
- How the accommodation is paid for or reimbursed when a purchase is completed.
- What applies if you do not buy, change dates or cancel the trip.
- Whether transfers, meals or other services are included in your written arrangement.
Flights, extra nights, meals and transfers should not be assumed to be included. Agree any additional costs separately.
Make the viewings useful
Start with a shortlist that matches how you will use the apartment: living year-round, holidays, rental income or another purpose. A day spent inspecting suitable homes is more useful than rushing through a large number of unrelated listings.
During viewings, look beyond the photographs. Walk the route to the beach and shops, check the entrance and lifts, ask about maintenance fees and inspect light, noise and the condition of the building. Leave time to compare the properties afterwards.
A viewing is not an obligation to buy
Request the relevant property documents and a complete cost breakdown before committing. If residence or citizenship is part of your plan, check eligibility separately. The accommodation offer should not be a reason to overlook an unsuitable apartment or rush a deposit.
