Turkish hospitality

Turkish hospitality - a century-old Oriental tradition.
Eastern hospitality - what is it? Sweet tale or reality. Are Turks hospitable,
as travelers say?
In fact, Turkish hospitality is a tradition that has been shaped over the centuries. And
any tourist who came to rest in the South Republic can feel it on himself. And if
you decide to buy property in Turkey, then literally from the first days here you will feel
at home.

From time immemorial
, Turkish hospitality originates from religion. The fact is that earlier in the East
it was believed that the guest who came to the house was God's messenger. No one could immediately say - what
news he brought: bad or, on the contrary, good. Therefore, they took any visitor with
great hospitality.
Then the owners did not spare the whole day to chat with a stranger.
By the way, not only the people, but also the state itself from time immemorial has been supporting the
guests of the country. So in 1740, the Turkish Sultan allowed the Cossacks, who had fled from their homeland, to establish a
settlement in the territory of the Ottoman Empire. Later, not far from Istanbul, the Polish
village of Polonezkei appeared. The Russian émigrés who fled from the revolution took refuge in Turkey
1917
Today, the religious context has sunk into oblivion, but Turkish hospitality remains. And
tourists coming to rest fully feel it for themselves.

Invite strangers to the house.
In Turkey, they love to go to visit and receive visitors. Do not be surprised if after a
couple of hours of dating, the Turks invite you for tea, and then they will call you to their home, where the
whole family will gather.
By the way, if you go to a Turkish house for tea or coffee, then go with an empty stomach. For here
you are not Europe. Even if you are simply invited for a cup of hot drink, then you
will probably be waited by a chicly laid table with several dishes. Well, or in extreme cases, you
will be served pies, buns, cookies. So it is unlikely to stay hungry.
What is interesting, the farther away from major cities inland Turkey, the more you can feel
on itself oriental hospitality. So in small villages even a
complete stranger can be put into the house , tell him about his problems, share his joy and
listen carefully.

To respond to hospitality with courtesy
Despite the fact that the Turks are always ready to present the best to the guests,
you should not abuse the hospitality. It is important not to violate the traditions of the country. So how to
go to visit Turkey?
Firstly, it is not customary to come to visit here empty-handed. You should always prepare for the
owners of some kind of gift. It can be a sweet or a souvenir.
Secondly, it is important to know that in Turkey shoes are taken off the threshold, they don’t go into an
apartment in street shoes if the owner himself did not want it.
Thirdly, do not give up treats, tea or coffee. This may offend the host.

Fourthly, it is customary here to offer your help to the hostess - to remove from the table, wash the dishes. But
this rule applies exclusively to women.

Mutual assistance is proof of Turkish hospitality
Turkish people are not indifferent - here, always and everyone is ready to help, even
strangers.
Did you pay attention on the street, if something happens, passers-by immediately rush to the rescue. For
example, an accident occurred on the road - cars stop. Someone immediately calls in an
ambulance, someone tries to assist the victims.
Or if a small child is alone on the street, they will definitely ask him where his
parents are and help them find one.
And this applies not only to residents of Turkey, but also to foreigners who came to rest.
For example, a completely unfamiliar grandfather, if you ask him for a way, can quit
all affairs and to carry you to the destination, since you do not know Turkish.

Foreigners are accepted as their own
Foreigners who decide to buy property in Turkey, or simply come here for a
long vacation, like no one else can feel the Turkish hospitality to the fullest

It all starts with the paperwork. Where else in the world is it so easy to get a
residence permit by buying even the most inexpensive apartment. Do not face difficulties in
obtaining a residence permit for those who draw up a document on the basis of the lease.
Importantly, a residence permit in Turkey for foreigners gives the same rights that
citizens of the Republic have. In addition to the right to work. For this you need to issue a working
permit.
In Alanya and Antalya, there are Russian societies, which the authorities provide full support.
In addition, the municipality organizes free language courses for foreigners who have issued a
residence permit. So even learning a language is not a problem.
And in matters of religion, the Turks are tolerant. And sometimes they provide support.
For example, in Alanya and Antalya there are active Christian churches where
services are held every holiday .
Indeed, it sometimes seems that Turkish hospitality is limitless. And you can easily
see this for yourself; it is enough just to come to a sunny republic, but not to a hotel with all
inclusive, but on your own, it’s enough to rent an apartment in Alanya or buy
your own apartment in Turkey.
