Street food is very popular in Turkey .. I would say it is part of Turkey. To visit this country and not try street food is at least not excusable. And since such a meal in the hotel will not offer you ... be sure to go out on the streets of Alanya !!!
Almost at every step you can find a place to eat .. This can be a restaurant, cafe or trolley-kitchen. It is impossible to go past the seductive smells of cooking food. Everything is fresh and hot .. And what is important, you can watch with interest the whole cooking process. The aroma and appearance of the preparing dish beckons, and as if asks - “eat me”. And not to give in to temptation is very difficult. Yes, maybe not! After all, trying and finding out something new is always interesting ... and then there is also delicious. So let's start ..
Gozleme.
Gozleme (gözleme) is a tortilla with a filling .. But not everything is so simple. Each region has its own cooking recipe and dough and toppings. The dough for gozleme is called yufka. There is no standard recipe ... it can be unleavened, kefir or yeast dough. And for the filling can use cheese, cottage cheese, herbs, vegetables or minced meat. The dough is very thinly rolled out , winding the dough on a rolling pin. The bread should be practically transparent ... Spread the filling on half of the cake ... most often it is cheese or curd with greens. Cover the second half of the cake, blinded edges. Then fried in a special convex pan, which is called saj. A couple of minutes, and you can taste the hot, incredibly tasty cakes gozleme.
Balik Ekmek
Balik Ekmek (balık ekmek), which according to the translation, means fish in bread. This is a very popular dish in Turkey. Basically, this dish is cooked on the marina, as the most important ingredient in this dish is fish, must be fresh. The fish is caught and then grilled. After that, the fried fish is put into bread and vegetables and greens are added there. You can sit right there in the cafe, or take food with you .. and sitting on the benches on the waterfront try this delicious dish, admiring the sea and yachts.
Kofte
Köfte (köfte) are similar to our burgers. They say that this word comes from the Persian kufta, which translates as beating, grinding. Usually, kofte is made from mutton or beef, but also these patties may not be meaty. For example, they are made from lentils. There are so many recipes for cooking kofte that no one knows their exact number. But definitely not less than 290 ... Cutlets are served with a side dish and / or vegetables on a dish, or with vegetables in bread. And of course, on any street, you can have a bite of boiled corn, try mussels or feast on roasted chestnuts.
