Russian areas in Alanya (Russian diaspora)

There is no community similar to the one in the city of Antalya in Alanya, but there is an area where the first steps towards its formation have already been taken. Such communities help facilitate adaptation and adjustment to life in a new country. For example, “Russian Society of Education, Cultural and Business Cooperation.”

However, the community in Alanya is quite large, there are Russian hairdressers, makeup artists, and builders. Some of them, of course, work legally - for example, among manicure specialists there are many Russian wives of Turkish citizens.

There are also a lot of Russian pensioners living in Alanya - they say that they need about 330-350 euros per month to live.

There are also educational institutions that provide the opportunity to gain knowledge in the native language, but there are few of them, and they have only just begun to develop; some local residents also know the basics of the Russian language.

Number of Russians in Turkey

Official statistics are silent about the real number of Russians in Turkey, but according to private information sources, about 500,000 of our fellow citizens live in the country. There are 50 thousand Russians in the country on a permanent basis (without leaving), most of whom (30 thousand people) settled in Antalya.

Most often, women (32–34 years old) go to Turkey and find their chosen ones among the indigenous people, who value our compatriots quite highly as wives. There are often swindlers among Turks, but even this fact does not frighten Russian women too much when concluding such marriages; potential brides are not afraid to move in search of their dreams. Men from our country immigrate to Turkey, usually with their family.

Employment

Factoring specialists are still one of the most in-demand professions in the local market. If you understand finance, you can earn about 1 million 600 thousand a year. Physical labor is also valued here - for employees of a battery manufacturing company, the salary is 800 thousand liras per year.

Russian migrants most often find employment in the entertainment industry. Developed tourism is the basis of the local economy. Therefore, hotels are constantly in need of animators, dancers and simply service staff. For one summer or autumn shift they are paid approximately 4 thousand liras.

Housing infrastructure

The level of housing services in Turkey, at a lower cost, fully complies with Western European standards. Services such as cleaning the area, water delivery, calling mechanics and electricians, and replacing air conditioners are performed at the highest level. Thanks to this, not only our compatriots, but also Germans, British, Americans and Italians are purchasing housing in the country. However, in comparison with Russian prices for housing and communal services, Turkish ones are sensitive to the wallet.

Russian cities and regions

Mahmutlar

According to the latest data, 14,000 people from Russia have become residents of the resort town. Located a 10-minute drive from Alanya, it has recently been considered one of the most Russian on the Antalya coast. Once upon a time, a small village was built up with modern housing, which is willingly bought not only by Europeans, but also by our compatriots. In local stores you can find the usual dumplings, sour cream and even sausages made from pork, which the indigenous population cannot stand.

As the settlers claim, Mahmutlar has become a kind of international destination for visitors from the former Soviet republics. All ethnic contradictions are smoothed out by the hot sun and gentle sea. The main business of Russian-speaking “guest workers” is real estate trading and apartment rentals. Moreover, housewives are most often engaged in renting out housing without leaving the kitchen stove.

Among the service there are many natives of the CIS countries who live and work in this place, in the housing rental sector, since many owners use their housing as a means of earning money, and the main demand comes from their fellow citizens.

Kirgijak

Located just east of Mahmutlar. In fact, the two towns are a continuation of each other, so you are unlikely to notice how you cross the border from one to the other. However, Kirgidzhak is much more interesting from the point of view of real estate investment. The fact is that in the town there are several large residential complexes located on the mountain slopes, which cannot be found in Mahmutlar. The houses in these complexes are equipped with the latest technology, have their own swimming pools and lounge areas, and on top of that you get a breathtaking view from the mountain to the Mediterranean Sea.

Both

There is a large shopping and furniture center next to the apartments, and in the surrounding area there are about 50 different cafes and restaurants. The beach is sandy and well-maintained. There is a gorgeous embankment, which is very pleasant to stroll along in the evenings.

In this area, many residential complexes are aimed specifically at foreigners; locals practically do not live there. When Russians arrive, they immediately get to know the local residents; sometimes the neighbors are Russians, but mostly Europeans live in Oba. By the way, the Turks who work here are more advanced - they all know foreign languages, including Russian.

Konakli

The central district of Konakli is full of shops, souvenir shops and kiosks selling inexpensive sightseeing tours. There are several general stores and a two-story leather goods store. You can take a break from shopping by exploring local attractions.

The local population is busy working in the tourism business and here you can clearly see how hospitable and open people they are. The village has a well-groomed and clean appearance. There is a place to take a pleasant walk, eat delicious food, have fun and buy souvenirs. The uniqueness lies in its close location to the large entertainment and shopping centers of Alanya with a consistently quiet and relaxed atmosphere inside the resort.

Avsallar

Avsallar is a Mediterranean resort located in southern Turkey, 140 km from Antalya Airport and 20 km from Alanya. The local population is 12,000 people. The city is crossed by the Alara River, on the banks of which there is a Caravanserai built in the 13th century.

This place is famous for its natural beauty, lots of greenery and a wide choice of entertainment: restaurants, bars, discos, a bazaar in the city center, shops and souvenir shops that are located everywhere. The coast also did not disappoint - it is mostly sandy and only occasionally there are pebbles. And finally, here you can find a wide range of spa services: Turkish baths, massage, thalassotherapy.
