Redevelopment of apartments in Turkey - how to create the home of your dreams?
There are no standard housing layouts in Turkey. The developer independently chooses the number of rooms, the size of the bathroom and kitchen, the allocation of the hallway, and other points. Companies strive to make their creation unique and attractive to buyers from abroad. Often the built neighborhoods resemble six-star hotels with their own infrastructure: hammam, shop, swimming pool, convenient parking, security. Houses are sold renovated, but the buyer, in most cases, does not always want to leave everything as is. Is it possible to change the layout of a new home to suit your taste and idea? What needs to be done for this?
In Turkey, new buildings are delivered turnkey. Having bought such a home, you can safely come in and live. The secondary real estate market offers cheaper options:
- for renovation;
- own design.
There is no need for additional permits or other documents to start transforming your own apartment in Turkey. If the redesign does not involve the demolition of load-bearing structures, then any contractor or a separately hired team of craftsmen can carry out repair work.
The largest room in all houses is the living room. It can be separate or common according to the American type, when the kitchen and household electrical appliances are located under one of the walls of the room. In the latter option, our compatriots, who have decided to permanently move closer to the ocean and the scorching sun, zoning the space, separating the kitchen area from the living room area. Over the past 5 years, studio layouts have been banned in large Turkish cities, so you can only find such an option on the secondary market.
If housing is purchased for going on vacation, with further rental to tourists, then one-room studio apartments are one of the best options, since they do not require changes and are commensurately cheap.
You can plan your property in different ways:
- 1+0 – studio apartment;
- 1+1 – one bedroom, one large room;
- 2+1 – standard layout: two bedrooms, one living room;
- 3+2 or 4+3 – luxury duplex.
A balcony is an important part of any apartment. To take a break from the year-round heat, huge balconies are built. When planning a room, you should not forget about this, leaving a spacious place for a balcony or terrace, where you can relax in the fresh air, meet friends, smoke a hookah, and also have a tea party with friends.
