The best beaches of Alanya - where to relax with comfort.

Alanya is famous for its beautiful beaches, many of which have the Blue Flag award. It is Alanya that is recommended for holidays with children, because there is not only a warm sea, but in most areas there is a sandy or sandy-pebble entrance to the sea, and the coastal strip is equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay.
What are the beaches in Alanya, and which of them are considered to be the best? Let's figure it out.

The favorite beach of all tourists is Cleopatra's beach.
Many tourists come to Alanya for the sake of Cleopatra's beach. And no wonder! Just imagine - a wide beach, several kilometers long with velvety white sand, and a gentle sea entrance.
About the origin of this beach to this day legends. As far as they are close to the truth, we will not argue. But the fact remains that the sand here has a unique structure. Find similar can only be in the northern part of Egypt. So, perhaps, the legends are telling the truth, and did Mark Antony really order to bring
golden sand from the Nile Valley to his beloved Cleopatra from Egypt ?
The sand here is almost not heated, so even on the hottest day does not burn your feet.
In addition, it does not stick to the body, so there is no discomfort during the rest.
Sun loungers and umbrellas are installed along the seashore. They are paid, but nobody forbids spreading a towel near the water. Money for this, too, will not take.
The whole beach is divided into zones, in each of which there is a toilet, shower and dressing rooms.
From any point of the beach offers stunning views of the Alanya Peninsula and the fortress.
The only negative - on the beach of Cleopatra is always crowded. But this is not surprising, because everyone wants to see the pearl of the Alanya coast.
Getting there: A city bus number 1 runs along the coast. You can simply tell the driver to stop at Cleopatra Beach, or get off at the bus stop near the big Burger King.
Those traveling from the suburbs of Alanya (Mahmutlar, Avsallar or Konakli) will need to get to the final dolmush, and from there either walk on foot or transfer to the city bus on Ataturk Avenue

Damlatas - the beach at the foot of the Alanya Castle
The Cleopatra Beach is a kind of “continuation” of the famous Damlatas Beach, which is located at the foot of the Alanya Peninsula. And it is named so, because the cave of the same name is located nearby, known for its healing properties.
The beach is also famous for its luxurious velvety sand and a gentle entrance to the sea. But here the beach life is more “lively”. There is a cafe right on the sea, various water sports.

In one day, you can visit two beaches at once, there is not even a clear border between them. Therefore, it is difficult to say where Cleopatra ends and Damlatas begins.
Getting there: as well as Cleopatra Beach

Incekum Beach - little Miami in Turkey
Incekum Beach is another paradise where you should come at least once, even if you are resting in Mahmutlar.
Imagine a wide beach with a gentle entrance to the sea, so flat that you can wander and wander. And no stones, not even pebbles. And the sand here is so small and smooth that you wonder.
By the way, the name Incekum from Turkish is translated as fine, fine sand.
Incekum beach is municipal, so you can relax for free, spreading a towel on the shore, anyone can here. But if you want to rent an umbrella and a chaise lounge, you will have to pay.
There are also small summer cafes on the beach where you can have a snack, buy ice cream and refreshments. The beach is located at some distance from the center of Incekum, so it will not be easy to “run so far” to the nearest market. But water and something to eat can always bring with you.
At the Cuma Pazari station, take the dolmus to Okurcalar and ask the driver to stop at Incekum beach

Keykubat Beach - “on the other side of the Fortress” Keykubat Beach is located on the other side of
the Alanya Peninsula. He stretched as much as three kilometers. But if you compare the quality of the sand with Cleopatra's beach, then Keykubat will probably be left behind a few steps.
But despite this, the beach is also awarded the blue flag for cleanliness.
Log into the sea rather flat, but in some places under water can hide stones.
One of the main advantages is not as crowded as on the most popular beaches of Alanya. Therefore, those who like a more relaxing holiday, will be quite comfortable.
The entrance to the beach is, of course, free. But for the money you can rent umbrellas and deck chairs.
How to get there: by city bus number 1 or number 2

Oba's sandy beaches and Portakal beach Oba is also
famous for its clean sandy beaches.
And the most popular here is the beach Portakal (translated as orange), awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness.
The Portaqal beach begins where the Oba River flows into the seas. And its length is about a kilometer.
The entrance to the sea is sand and pebble. But in some places there can be stones, which, however, does not bother the rest much.

On the shore there is also a cafe, you can rent deck chairs and umbrellas.
By the way, this is an ideal place for surfing, because in windy weather in winter there are often waves here. So the lovers of extreme water have chosen this beach not by chance.
How to get there: by city bus number 1 or number 2

Beaches of Mahmutlar and Kestel
I would like to tell you about the beaches of Mahmutlar and Kestel. They are very similar, so we give them a general description.
Basically, the entrance to the sea is sandy-pebbly, but sometimes, in some places there are large stones, resembling slabs. The city administration is trying to clear the entrance to the sea, but it is not possible to completely free the coastal strip from the stone shackles, because the integrity of the ecological system will be disrupted.
In Mahmutlar there are both “wild” beaches, where you can sit on a towel, as well as equipped ones, where you can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs or sit in a cafe.
Getting there: at the Cuma Pazari station, take the dolmush going to Mahmutlar. Which also passes through Kestel.
Alanya’s beaches are very decent, otherwise they would hardly have been able to receive such a high international award as the blue flag. And everyone who comes to rest in Alanya will definitely find a beach for himself.
