Practical advice for holidaymakers in Turkey

Many of you are looking forward to vacations, but when this time comes, a dilemma immediately arises: where to go? If you decide to visit one of the most interesting countries, Turkey, in the area of Antalya or Alanya , then you will definitely need these tips.

1. Choosing a location.

If you prefer sandy beaches, then you need to go to the east of Antalya, and if you are inspired by rocky beaches, then to the west. It is also very important that large hotels predominate in Alanya, but in Antalya there are 2- and 3-story houses. If you decide on a city hotel, then be prepared to get to the sea by bus.
There is a noisy highway along the coast. Therefore, if you are used to daytime sleep or just want to relax, choose rooms overlooking the inner side of the courtyard.

2. Cultural recreation.

You need to know that there are no attractions in Turkey, except perhaps the destroyed amphitheater and aquiduct, and even then there is no passage to it. You can only admire them from the bus window. There is, however, one more entertainment - a water park, but it is located in Antalya. It has 8 slides and a pool with a depth of 1.10 meters, so people with long legs should be especially careful. And since this is a one-of-a-kind entertainment, it is not surprising that it can be full of people and you will have to wait at least 20 minutes for your turn.

3. Sun.

If you decide to vacation in Turkey, then you probably know that it is very hot here. Therefore, we strongly do not recommend going out in the sun without various protective equipment.

4. Water.

You are, of course, aware that in the areas described there is only one Mediterranean Sea. It is transparent and very salty, so if it gets into your eyes, be sure to rinse with plenty of clean running water.

5. Food.

For breakfast and dinner in hotels in Turkey, they prefer a buffet. You usually can’t get going for breakfast, but you can fill up with dinner. As for dishes, you can find a lot of salads on the table, but only soup as a main course. Rice is considered the main side dish, but potatoes are a real delicacy. Drinks in the hotel bars are provided free of charge, with the exception of alcohol.

6. Car rental.

A car is rented with insurance. All cars must be of low mileage and no older than 2 years. Before you get behind the wheel, be sure to read the traffic rules.

7. Media.

On the radio you can only hear Turkish music. If there is a hit, it can be broadcast every half hour. As for the TV, it shows either cheap American films, or football and news. Therefore, if they offer you a room with a TV, you can safely refuse)))
